Exibition MXS Custom

Hall of Fame

During the course of the years, Maxiscoot was able to forge a worldwide reputation for itself. This was also due to the exhibitions of various machines created by our MXS Custom Team and our workshops, of which we’re about to tell you their history.

Everything began in 2003. Boogy just won the DSSC title of the 2003 Scooter Weekend in Germany. The scooter:

Champion DSSC 2003

The logical consequence was, obviously, the recruitment of Mr. Boogy for Maxiscoot and the appointment of him as mechanic for test trials of our products. He doesn’t like to work on his own, however, which is why his little brother, Alexander -aka Kurzer – rarely leaves his side and continuously offers us his much-appreciated helping hand. Following from this, the construction of the prototype of Ice X-Racer which you all know by now ensued…

At the time, scooter races became more and more popular. A brand which wasn’t well known at the time took the stage, the "2Fast", the single most powerful cylinder kit in its category. Full well knowing of the potential this cylinder could develop, our two mentalists put together our first official Maxiscoot dragster, departing from a "NRG frame" and a Piaggio 2Fast engine, and they added an entire Piaggio "Nitrous Express kit" to that!

From then on, everything developed apace, driven by our glorious victories which we were able to celebrate in various categories; and the Boogys continued to manufacture dragsters all day long. Weight plays an important role in this category which is why we resorted to a ‘home made’ manufacture which resulted in a much lighter version than the first one. In consequence, two versions of the "2Fast dragster" left our premises, one with a Minarelli engine and the other with a Piaggio one.

At the time, we began to "specialise" in the sale of mécaboite [geared moped] products, which is why we had to prove our "know-how" in this field with a "prototype" deserving this name!

Mechanics are very important when preparing an engine, but we also take good care of aesthetical aspects. Which is why, in the run-up to the "Scooter Custom Show", another prototype saw the light of day. Equipped with a well-tuned Malossi 180cc engine, we of course had to find a name which reflected this fact and we decided to call it L'EXECUTOR !

Having bagged pretty much all the prizes at the Scooter Custom Show grace to our prototypes, we began with the construction of yet another dragster. We used aluminium for the first time on this occasion…the engine underwent a few enhancements but was still equipped with a 2FAST kit, together with a Nitrous ExpreSS unit, of which we’ll remain fans forever.
You can have a look below, as presented at our booth during the Paris Tuning Show.

Given the fact that we obtained the best possible results in the field of ‘Scooter Tuning’ as far as engines are concerned, we developed an appetite for even more horse power.

Therefore we resorted to the following formula: 1+1=2
So, in our field, that would mean 25h.p. + 25h.p. = 50h.p.

In fact, in order to obtain twice as much horsepower, it was sufficient to add the power of two cylinders. Hence we engaged in the construction of the Dragster bi-cylinder 2EVIL.

Having devised respective special cases in our workshops, we put the engine on the test bench. We we’re right! We looked at 50h.p. pushing a weight of 60kg. Needless to say really, with a dragster as powerful as this one, we bagged each and any conceivable prize in the field of Scooter Races.

At the end of the year 2009, we won the first place on the Scooter Week-End (European level) with a time of 5.80 seconds on 150 meters.

Coming up next: even more mentalist projects! Don’t miss them!
