Grand Prix de France 2011

Founded more than thirteen years ago, Maxiscoot has established itself from a two-man start-up to the number one online reseller of single components in France and beyond. And more than just being the premium reseller on the market, Maxiscoot is most notably a racing team going head to head in the dragster-scooter runs - the so-called start-and-stop races.

We continuously establish and break records with our very own dragster bi-cylinder 2Evil in all classes and leagues whether in France, Germany or anywhere.

Therefore, 2011 will be (as we hope) a decisive milestone in the history of Maxiscoot racing since we have taken the decision to compete in the speed track races for the first time ever. And to start it off right, we have of course teamed up with a very experienced company: MVT Engineering.

This French-based company has been founded in 1986 and was initially specialized in manufacturing and distributing high performance-optimized ignitions for mopeds, motor scooter and geared mopeds. Since then their expertise in the business has grown significantly, they have expanded and rounded their product line-up with high end engine parts which are highly praised by the competing race drivers.

Thus, MVT was the perfect match in our opinion for many reasons, notably the before-mentioned knowledge and skill in this domain as well as their experience coming from numerous victories in the championship of France in the 80cc class.

For the crucial test - or the baptism of fire as we called it - we have joined forces and set up a Maxiscoot/MVT machine to compete and prove ourselves in the Moto 125 GP world championship: the Grand Prix of France.

This year's edition will go along with the tradition of the GP of France as it takes place once more at the magnificent race track of Mans (located in Sarthe, dep. #72) during the weekend from May, 13th to May, 15th. We will be at the scratch line of this infamous event in the 125cc class with an Aprilia "125 RSW KIT" piloted by the very talented Kevin Szalai, who is barely legal with his eighteen years of age.

As always we will keep you updated and informed about the process and progress of the race as we hope that this premiere will successfully enter a new era in the history of MVT and Maxiscoot respectively.

With all that said, we are waiting to see you all at the race track of Mans from the 13th to 15th of May 2011 or alternatively in front of your tv - that of course for those who have the chance to receive the corresponding channels.

Thank you all for your passion and support!

Your Maxiscoot and MVT crew
