Scooter Weekend 2011
The 10th birthday of the German Scooter Weekend was an event we couldn’t miss! And to add to the excitement, the Scooter Weekend team had hired the legendary Nürburgring F1 circuit: a great event in prospect! We obviously took our MXS Dragstar 2Evil prototypes and our MXS Racing Booster along for the ride. We had therefore booked 2 stalls for us and our friends from all over France, including the ScooterPower team, R&S, Cati and Medhi, little Rémy and many others.
When we got there on Friday evening, we were confronted by a horde of luxury cars, all of them absolutely stunning (Mercedes SLS, Porsches of all types, etc.): a real feast for the eyes and ears! Hostilities began at 8 o'clock on Saturday morning: the Run track was open for a few hours for training. Our Dragstar 2Evil caused us problems all day and didn't give us full satisfaction, to say the least...
In the final Run we finally found the source of the problems but by then we had no more official Runs in which to do any fine-tuning! We'd like to congratulate Jesper Pedersen who managed an excellent time with his twin-cylinder and look forward to doing battle with him in a forthcoming event (this time with an "in-form" 2Evil)!
As far as the event itself was concerned, we had a good day on this magnificent circuit: the track riders enjoyed some great little races on the circuit that was set aside for them. We'd also like to highlight the performance of certain French riders at the event, such as Clément Rigot of the ScooterPower team, who came first in his category, Rémy Amrouchi with the Cycles Leboeuf Ludix (also winner of his category) and Catiana D'Mon, who finished with a fine third place: well done to them!
