Description

CNC-milled aluminium intake spacer from NARAKU. The NARAKU Jet Flow is specifically designed to optimize the intake flow for the 51mm NARAKU cylinder head. The spacer’s conical bore creates an unimpeded flow from the 24mm manifold into the 21mm manifold intake port of the NARAKU 51mm cylinder head (found in 51mm and 52.4mm cylinder kits from NARAKU). The Venturi effect accelerates the feed of fresh gas, which provides a better filling of the combustion chamber resulting in increased torque.

After adjusting the original cylinder head or the intake, the spacer can also be used with the original set-up or tuning stages with kits below 90cc. Using a 24mm carburettor is highly recommended, but not obligatory.

When mounting the spacer, please ensure that the connection between the intake and the cylinder head is kept clean and free of dirt and debris. The spacer may also be mounted reversed 180 degrees. In this case it covers a part of the inlet channel, though.

What is a reed valve spacer?

The reed valve spacer is an aluminum component that is placed between the crankcase and the reed valve. It is often used on 50cc 2-stroke scooter and motorcycle engines.

what is the function of a reed valve spacer?

Adding a spacer under the reed valve increases the height of the block, thus increasing the volume available in the engine block. In addition, the spacer causes the boost ports of the cylinder to be flowed freely, which can improve gas flow and performance.

It is important that the thickness of the spacer matches your engine setup. As a rule of thumb, the larger the displacement, the thicker the spacer. Since every engine is unique, you'll have to experiment a bit to find the right thickness.

Note: When installing a reed valve spacer, it is critical that the engine is properly sealed, so it is best to use new intake gaskets or engine sealant.
