The small plastic sliders of your variator wear out eventually, they also get damaged or simply go AWOL. They have to be in perfect condition if you want to use the full potential of your engine. If they are worn down, the ramp plate has too much play causing vibrations that can damage your engine.
We recommend replacing them every time you service your scooter or / and change roller weights.

CVT sliders
CVT slide pieces / sliders are small plastic parts that sit on the edge of the ramp plate (the part behind the front pulley that is driven by the crankshaft) and ensure that it glides in the moving sheave of the CVT (the part with the roller weights).
The small plastic sliders are classic wear parts that need to be replaced from time to time, just like V-belts or CVT weights.
