Description

Stage6 Cylinder Kit 70cc Racing MK2 Piaggio AC (Piaggio Typhoon/ Stalker etc.). The successor of the successful Stage6 70cc racing cylinder is called Stage6 Racing MKII 70cc and was completely redesigned for even better out of the box performance.

The cylinder with high-strength hard chrome bore plating was completely redesigned. A new transfer port design (6 instead of 5 ports) improves cylinder filling. The piston is no longer flat but domed, with a 0.8 mm thick piston ring to optimise performance and improve heat dissipation. Thermal properties were improved in all areas. Generous flushing of the bridged exhaust port; a pentagonal design and internal cooling ribs; one-piece head with cast scavenging canals – to name but a few of the improvements. Port timings are 190°-130°.

The cylinder yields 2 to 3 hp more power than the MK1, between 17-19 hp, without any additional modifications and in combination with the corresponding components. There is enough material for further modifications to get the cylinder above 20 hp. Definitely one of the most powerful 70cc kits on the market!

We recommend using a reinforced crankshaft, a min. 21mm carburetor and a racing exhaust to exploit the full power of this tuning cylinder..

The kit includes.

  • aluminium cylinder, 47.6mm bore
  • 1-ring piston with 12mm piston pin
  • one-piece cylinder head
  • gasket set

We recommend to clean the engine before assembly, check the condition of all components and use a new spark plug and new small end bearing. Do not forget to change your carburetor settings if necessary.

Squish clearance should be between 0.75 and 0.85. The cylinder should be run in for approx. 300 km with a 1:33 mixture to improve robustness and life expectancy.

Attention:

- Original exhausts cannot be mounted with this cylinder.

How to Install a cylinder on a scooter, motorcycle or moped

The cylinder or cylinder kit is the heart of the engine on scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. It consists of a cylinder, a piston with piston ring(s), a cylinder head and gaskets needed for installation.

The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

Tuning Level: Racing

We categorize our products into different performance levels  Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.

Racing products are designed for a more extreme uses and are developed primarily for racing. Whether you stay at 50cc or increase the displacement, the corresponding Racing parts produce much higher performance than the original parts in order to achieve maximum power.

Aluminium cylinders

Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.

How to run in an aluminium cylinder?

Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.

Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.

Kit super puissant, je recommande vraiment. En plus de ça puissance et ça fiabilité il est simple à comprendre et à régler. Mon kit a dépasser les 4000km et le cylindre est encore vraiment propre.

Pour tout les jours c'est plutôt cool je lui ai mis 1300 km ça ne bouge pas :
Pour un squich de 0.80 tu es à 13.8/1 de taux de compression.

Très bon produit très bonne qualité les transferts sont parfait y'a encore moyen de grater des chevaux avec l'échappement mais sa marche tellement bien pour un usage endurance que c'est bien comme ça. Un pot d'origine ou type origine peut se monter avec un adaptateur. Attention il faut acheté une pochette de joint pour le réglage du squish.
