Description

NARAKU is already known for high-quality 4-stroke tuning parts. And finally there is a durable high-quality crankshaft available at a fair price. The NARAKU crankshaft has been produced to meet OEM requirements of Taiwanese and Japanese scooter manufacturers. According to the requirements for big-bore cylinders, it comes with HD (i.e. Heavy-Duty) needle bearings for the conrod. This allows for higher load and longer life as compared to the Chinese original parts.

The NARAKU HD crankshaft does cost a bit more than the Chinese replacement part; but if you have bothered to replace the crankshaft, you probably won't be too happy if you experience a crankshaft failure shortly afterwards because you have gone for an inferior product.

Shape and dimensions are like the original ones, so that you get an excellent replacement part with an increase in durability, perfect for further tuning steps. Comes with pre-installed and pre-pressed crankshaft bearings. Together with the Top Racing crankshaft, this is a favourite of ours, especially considering the price.

Oil pump drive with 16 teeth.

Notes and Safety

How to change a crankshaft?

The crankshaft is one of the main components of the engine and is responsible for the smooth operation of motorcycle, scooter and moped, whether with two-stroke or four-stroke engine. The longevity of the engine depends not only on the proper condition of the crankshaft, but also on the fact that it is properly mounted.

For a correct installation of the crankshaft, we recommend our tutorial: Crankshaft disassembly and assembly.

How can I tell if my crankshaft is Damaged?

A broken crankshaft causes metallic noises, unusual vibrations, leaking oil seals and drastically reduces the performance of the two-wheeler. In any case, the vehicle must be stopped immediately to prevent the damage from getting worse.

Please note that whenever the crankshaft is changed and serviced, you'll have to install new crankshaft bearings.

Tuning Level: Sport

We categorize our products into different performance levels  Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.

The products listed under Sport yield better performance than Original parts. They may have technical differences, such as the use of higher quality materials, a larger displacement or a performance-enhancing design. They are suitable for everyday use and have a long service life.

Vilebrequin NARAKU
