Description
Tires are among the most important components on your scooter. Tire design is essential to performance, comfort, safety and handling of your vehicle; that's why you should always keep an eye on the condition of your rubber.
The Mitas Tire MC35 Racing Medium 120/80 12 55P TL replaces Sava's popular MC31. A rigid carcass helps prevent warping under extreme (racing) conditions, and a high-quality rubber compound and tread design make for excellent racing performance.
The MC35 Racing Medium is a semi-slick racing tire with reduced tread design, suitable for dry, relatively rough surfaces in warm weather. The rubber compound provides superior grip without overheating and premature wear.
The front tire should be a little softer than the rear tire, so you have better grip in corners and when using the brakes. The rubber compound in the rear tire can be a little harder so it can better withstand the heat generated by engine and exhaust gases. On top, the rear wheel has to work harder during acceleration. Irrespective of rubber compound, you should always check tire pressure and have your suspension adjusted properly to get maximum performance.
These tires can be mounted on 2.50 - 3.00" rims.
Info:
- pressure rear tire: ca. 1.7bar
- size 120/80-12
- load index / speed rating 55P
Tires are an essential part of a motorcycle, scooter or moped. The choice of tire has an impact on handling, grip, fuel consumption, but most importantly, the right tire ensures onroad and offroad safety. Therefore, it is important to replace your two-wheeler's tires when the tread approaches the tire wear indicator (the small bars in the tread grooves) or you notice other damages such as cracks or deformation on the sidewalls of the tire.
Scooter Tires
Scooter tires are usually slightly smaller than motorcycle tires and are designed to provide very good stability and optimal comfort on the road.
Motorcycle Tires
There are a variety of sizes and treads of motorcycle tires, each designed for riding style, weather conditions and type of terrain. Tires for a motocross bike are quite different from tires for a classic street bike.
Moped tires
Moped tires are often smaller and narrower than scooter and motorcycle tires, but still provide a secure grip and reliable durability.
When choosing a new tire, you need to keep in mind the size of the original tire, and then choose the appropriate tire according to the intended use. Do not forget to replace the inner tube, rim tape and tire valve if necessary.
