Our very own MXS Racing Intake Kit Big Valve w/ HighFlow System Yamaha BW's / Slider / MBK Booster / Nitro, available for a very good price.
This Big Valve HighFlow kit is the result of many months of development and testing in our MXS Racing workshop; it is basically designed for use with our MXS Racing and MXS Sport cylinders for Minarelli vertical. The intake is a little larger than other existing "Big Valve" intakes so it can easily be combined with MXS cylinders. You can, however, use it with any other (Racing + Hyper racing) cylinder for Yamaha BW's / Slider etc.
This Big Valve HighFlow intake kit includes a Stage6 Reed Valve Viton AM6 / Derbi for optimum flow and cylinder filling - and, consequently, improved performance.
The kit includes:
- rubber intake manifold d=32 / 35mm (PWK type)
- anodized green aluminium mount
- Stage6 Reed Valve Viton AM6
- Allen screws (x8)
- aluminium spacer 1.5mm
- paper gasket (x1)
- hose clamp
- installation guide
Note: 1 gasket is included, but we recommend adding a paper gasket or silicone sealant (depending on your manifold).
Intake Kit for scooter, motorcycle and moped
The intake on a 2-stroke engine is composed of a series of parts that connect the carburetor or injection unit to the engine. The aim here is to assemble the components in such a way that it leads to a better cylinder filling.
The intake system of a 2-stroke scooter or motorcycle consists of:
- Intake manifold
- Reed valve
- Sometimes with spacer / socket
What is the benefit of a tuning intake kit?
Generally, installing an optimized intake results in a straighter intake to the engine and increased intake volume to improve mixture flow and engine filling. The reed petals are usually made of fiber or carbon, which improve engine response and peak power.
Note: Installing an intake kit is often necessary when installing a larger carburetor as well as when using a sport air filter. Always remember to check carburetor settings and make sure the system is fully sealed.
