This performance-oriented Polini Air Filter Vespa 200cc PE / PX is designed to increase air flow to your carburetor.
Polini modified their air filters for Vespa by adding an air horn, or bell mouth. It provides a Venturi-type funnel effect to considerably speed up air flow, turbulences are reduced, the engine will breathe easier and performance will be improved noticeably.
The bell mouth is attached with a screw, quick and easy to do. An O-ring inside the adapter/spacer ensures sealing and reliable air flow and a blue foam filter filters the air. The original rubber tube becomes redundant.

what are the benefits of open air filters?
Pod air filters are installed in place of the original air filter box of scooters, motorcycles or even mopeds to increase the air flow and thus improve performance and cooling of the engine.
However, using an open pod filter can make the vehicle louder, leads to slightly worse fuel economy, and it is possible that water gets into the engine during heavy rain. But what the heck - open air filters just sound great!
Just as with original air filter inserts, it is important to clean the air filter regularly with air filter cleaner.
Note: When installing an open sport air filter, the carburetor must be readjusted, i.e. in most cases the jet has to be changed.
