Are lever guards useful?
The installation of motorcycle lever guards offer many advantages. The guards protect the brake and clutch levers in case of a crash and thus allow for resuming the race. The lever protectors also prevent involuntary braking maneuvers during contact with other riders. Construction and use of lever guards
The inside of the lever guards is made of sturdy aluminum. They are covered with a high quality plastic coating with Polini logo. The lever guards are mounted in the handlebar ends, which means you need open end grips or cut the grip ends yourself.

Handlebar end caps are primarily uased as styling parts, but can also have advantages: In the event of a crash, they protect the grips, which could tear off, as well as the throttle grip, as the plastic tends to crack.
However, the use of bar end caps has a disadvantage: you have to cut off the end of the throttle grip that is normally "closed". This makes it easier for dirt to get stuck between the grip and the handlebars, thus impairing the correct rotation of the throttle grip.
