This air filter fits all "Dell'Orto" type carburetors from 14mm to 21mm (carburetor connection diameter: 28 to 35mm).
Double foam filter performance
An "open" foam air iflter brings a much greater quantity of air to your engine. This can contribute to increased power, especially when the throttle is opened.
As an added bonus, the sound of your machine will be huskier, the hum fatter, just like on racing machines!
ATTENTION: adding more air means depleting the mixture, so you'll need to increase the size of your main nozzle to compensate for the extra air!
If you'd like to improve filtration without disturbing carburetor settings, we advise you to opt for the double-foam air filters for standard airboxes offered by the major tuning brands.
what are the benefits of open air filters?
Pod air filters are installed in place of the original air filter box of scooters, motorcycles or even mopeds to increase the air flow and thus improve performance and cooling of the engine.
However, using an open pod filter can make the vehicle louder, leads to slightly worse fuel economy, and it is possible that water gets into the engine during heavy rain. But what the heck - open air filters just sound great!
Just as with original air filter inserts, it is important to clean the air filter regularly with air filter cleaner.
Note: When installing an open sport air filter, the carburetor must be readjusted, i.e. in most cases the jet has to be changed.
