Description
Polini Evolution air filter for larger carburetors
If you equip your scooter with a larger carburetor, it should of course be able to "breathe" better. We recommend the Polini "Evolution" air filter, conical, with straight connection. Foam air filters have a much larger intake surface than the original air filters, which benefits the cylinder filling. The carburetor main jet should be enlarged by a few numbers so that the mixture does not become lean and the cylinder overheats.
Connection width: 48mm / color: black / blue.
Polini evo filter highlights:
Improved performance through improved air flow
Enlarged intake area: The high-quality open cell foam provides a larger intake area, which favours cylinder filling and optimizes engine performance.
what are the benefits of open air filters?
Pod air filters are installed in place of the original air filter box of scooters, motorcycles or even mopeds to increase the air flow and thus improve performance and cooling of the engine.
However, using an open pod filter can make the vehicle louder, leads to slightly worse fuel economy, and it is possible that water gets into the engine during heavy rain. But what the heck - open air filters just sound great!
Just as with original air filter inserts, it is important to clean the air filter regularly with air filter cleaner.
Note: When installing an open sport air filter, the carburetor must be readjusted, i.e. in most cases the jet has to be changed.
