Brake Disc floating 220mm Stage6 R/T Vespa GTS / Gilera Runner
Description
Stage6 Racing brake disc Vespa GTS
Stage6 is always focused on optimizing products for both street and track use, and brakes are no exception.
The floating Stage6 R/T MK2 220mm disc was developed with maximum reliability and braking power in mind, resulting in a high-end disc ideal for racing, yet fully suitable for everyday riding.
Compatible with many Piaggio, Gilera, and Vespa models, including:
- Gilera Runner 50-200 2-stroke and 4-stroke
- Piaggio Fly 50, Liberty 50-200, NRG Power, Super Hexagon 125-180, Typhoon 12"
- Vespa GT 125-250, Granturismo 125-200, GTV 125-300, GTS 125-300
The disk is 100% made in Italy and tested under real track conditions. It is crafted entirely from high-quality martensitic steel, which, with its high carbon and chromium content, offers exceptional hardness and durability. The surface heat treatment is the same as used on superbikes, allowing track riders to brake consistently and powerfully throughout the race.
The heat treatment of the surface is the same as that used on superbikes, allowing circuit riders in particular to brake consistently and powerfully throughout the race.
Being a floating (floating) disc, it not only looks great but also improves performance. Floating discs distribute braking force about 30% more evenly than standard discs, resulting in better brake response and more uniform pad wear. The disc features orange-anodized 7075 T6 aluminum bushings that are as strong as steel but significantly lighter.
Advantages of Stage6 MK2 floating disc
- Increased and consistent braking performance even under extreme conditions
- Excellent heat distribution and minimal expansion and warping
- Reduced brake pad wear
- Better handling and more grip when braking in corners
Using brake pads that are adapted to your riding style and intended use is very important to ensure optimum braking performance. You will find the relevant information in this table:

Motorcycle and scooter brake disk
The brake disc on the front wheel and / or rear wheel play an essential role in the braking system of motorcycles and scooters.
Brake rotors are firmly attached to the wheel or wheel hub with brake bolts. They work in conjunction with the brake pads, which are pressed onto the brake discs via the brake caliper. This pressure creates the friction that is important for braking, which allows the vehicle to slow down and come to a stop.
When to change the brake rotor?
Brake pads wear out faster than brake discs and need to be replaced regularly. Brake discs, on the other hand, can last between 20,000 and 40,000 kilometers, depending on driving conditions. It is recommended that you monitor brake pad wear and inspect brake rotors for signs of excessive wear or deformation. If you see any sign of damage, the brake disc should be replaced.
No matter if standard, wave or floating - when you install a new brake disc on your scooter or motorcycle, you should also replace the brake pads at the same time. You should securely fasten front or rear brake disc with threadlocker.
