Description

Supermoto brake disc Moto Master Flame Street

The Moto Master Flame Street is a floating brake disk for Supermoto motorcycles such as KTM, Gas Gas, Husqvarna, etc.

  • 4mm thick, floating brake disk
  • Developed for use with original brake callipers
  • Outer ring in flame design for optimum cooling and self-cleaning made of HQ stainless steel
  • Brake carrier / inner ring made of high-quality stainless steel
  • Stainless steel floaters

advantages of floating brake discs

The advantage of a floating brake disc is that the braking effect is more progressive and the braking pressure is easier to control. This is particularly important for oversize brake discs with a large surface area. Stopping power is very high without the braking becoming extremely brutal and hard. The braking process becomes more controllable without any nasty surprises.

technical data moto master street brake rotor:

  • Outer diameter: 320 mm
  • Thickness: 4.0 mm
  • Inner diameter: 126.5 mm
  • Number of holes: 6
  • Material: stainless steel
  • Bolt circle: 143mm

Attention! The discs must be used with the appropriate Moto Master CNC adapter. We also recommend the use of Moto Master Racing brake pads.

Notes and Safety

Motorcycle and scooter brake disk

The brake disc on the front wheel and / or rear wheel play an essential role in the braking system of motorcycles and scooters.

Brake rotors are firmly attached to the wheel or wheel hub with brake bolts. They work in conjunction with the brake pads, which are pressed onto the brake discs via the brake caliper. This pressure creates the friction that is important for braking, which allows the vehicle to slow down and come to a stop.

When to change the brake rotor?

Brake pads wear out faster than brake discs and need to be replaced regularly. Brake discs, on the other hand, can last between 20,000 and 40,000 kilometers, depending on driving conditions. It is recommended that you monitor brake pad wear and inspect brake rotors for signs of excessive wear or deformation. If you see any sign of damage, the brake disc should be replaced.

No matter if standard, wave or floating - when you install a new brake disc on your scooter or motorcycle, you should also replace the brake pads at the same time. You should securely fasten front or rear brake disc with threadlocker.
