Polini (and many other brands) offer two types of brake pads: organic pads, with a braking performance that is pretty similar to the original pads, and sintered metal pads for intensive use, whether on race track or road.
Polini sintered metal brake pads are the result of the latest developments. The sintered compounds contain materials such as copper, bronze, iron, ceramic and graphite. Each element has a specific function when braking to obtain optimal braking performance and efficiency even in the most extreme conditions such as rain, mud or dirt. Moreover, the components reduce overheating and provide safe braking even at low temperatures (no run-in time).
Motorcycle and scooter brake pads
Motorcycle and scooter brake pads are essential components of the braking system and are responsible for safe riding. The brake pads are attached to the brake caliper on both sides of the brake disc. When you push the brake lever, the caliper presses the brake pads against the brake disc, creating friction that slows the rotation of the wheel.

Changing the brake pads on motorcycles and scooters is not witchcraft and can be done by any experienced motorcyclist. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and use brake pads that are compatible with the vehicle.
