Description
Chain Cleaner Spray Motul C1 Chain Clean 400ml degreases and cleans all types of motorcycle chains (road and off-road) and chains of other vehicles (bike, moped, kart, quad...).
The spray cleaner also removes encrasted deposits e.g. dust, sand, soil, oil. The chlorine-free formula with highly effective degreasing power is suitable for O-ring, X-ring and Z-ring chains. Removes all traces of grease, oil and tar quickly, thoroughly and without rubbing.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Shake before use.
1/ Spray the chain and leave to dry for 5 minutes.
2/ If the chain is very dirty, brush it off with a non-abrasive brush and spray it again.
3/ Grease the chain with MOTUL Chain Lube Road (on-road), MOTUL Chain Lube Off Road (off-road), MOTUL Chain Paste or MOTUL Chain Lube Factory Line (racing).
To increase chain life, you should do this about every 1000 KM.
Chain care
To ensure a long service life for chain and chain drive, you need to maintain the components with the right products.
The chain must be kept clean and lubricated to reduce wear on the chain and sprockets and to ensure that the chain moves smoothly.
How do you maintain a motorcycle chain?
- Wire brush
- Chain cleaner
- Special brush for cleaning the chain
- Chain grease
- Bike stand
Proceed as follows:
- Place the motorcycle on a stand to take the weight off the rear wheel
- Brush off with a wire brush, especially on off-road bikes where the dirt covers the chain
- Spray on chain cleaner while turning the wheel
- Brush off with the special chain brush while turning the wheel
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the chain is clean
- Spray on chain grease while turning the wheel
ATTENTION: For cross and enduro bikes, you should use a special off-road chain grease!
