Chain / Swingarm Slider Set Honda CRF 450 2019-2020 red
To prevent damage to aluminum surfaces, it is extremely important to keep an eye on the condition of the chain slider and the swingarm slider, which tend to wear out quite quickly on offroad motorcycles. Mud, sand and extreme conditions have a sandpaper effect on these components whose job it is to protect the swingarm and chain guide.
Pro tip: Always replace the chain guard parts whenever you install a new chain / chain kit.
Chain guide
The function of the chain guide is to prevent the chain from slipping. It is a wear part that you should check regularly and replace if necessary.
There are OEM quality chain guides to simply replace the original, but also tuning chain guides that ensure a longer life.
For old or rare motorcycles, you can also use a universal chain guide, which may need to be adjusted.
Please always remember to check not only the chain guide, but also the slider.
In general, you should always replace the entire chain kit, not just individual componenten, to extend its overall life:
