Universal sleeve for cables with an outer diameter of 7 mm, suitable for cables with a diameter of approx. 1.9 mm. 7 mm cable housings are primarily used for clutch cables or brake cables.

This is a PTFE cable housing with an inner diameter of 4 mm. This minimizes the friction of the actual steel cable and allows the cable to move easily, which also improves returning the lever / grip and extends the service life of the cable.

Bowden cable Housing

Two-wheelers are equipped with various cables that ensure that the rider's commands are passed on - brake, clutch, shift, throttle and more. It is very important that the protective sleeve around the actual cable (which is simply a wire) is in excellent condition.

Structure of a Cable Sleeve

As a rule, a classic cable sheath consists of three layers: an inner helix of steel wire provides the necessary compression and support, it is protected and held by an outer PVC sheath.
