Renthal Twinwall
The Renthal Twinwall is a large diameter handlebar (28.6 mm) with a crossbar. It was introduced in the early 2000s and quickly became a reference on the market. It became so popular that almost 20 years later it is still an integral part of the Renthal catalog and is still the first choice of many prof riders.
Technical data Twinwall
- Tube-in-tube design: two aluminum tubes inserted into each other
- Exterior tubes made of 7010 T73 aluminum for maximum protection against mechanical damage
- Interior tube made from extremely rigid 7010 T6 aluminum
- Corrosion-resistant anodization on the outer tube and resistant hard anodization on the inner tube
- Excellent compromise between extreme resistance to falls and vibration damping to reduce fatigue
- Supplied with handlebar pad
However, the Twinwall can be faulted for one thing: Its outer tube takes up quite a lot of space, which limits the space for controls. This is not a problem with slightly older motorcycles, but modern four-strokes are often equipped with additional controls that require space on the handlebar. In this case, a classic Fatbar handlebar may be the better choice.
All two-wheelers, whether scooter, moped or motorcycle, have handlebars. There are different types of handlebars:
Handlebar 22mm
Most 50cc scooters and motorcycles have a standard 22mm diameter handlebar. There are many aftermarket alternatives for standard handlebars, like aluminium handlebars in various designs such as motocross handlebars, MTB handlebars or enduro handlebars. Aftermarket handlebars are available in many colours so you can customize your bike.
MTB handlebar
MTB handlebars, short for mountain bike handlebar, allow riders to improve the seating position as well as the handling of their scooter. MTB handlebars can only be mounted by also installing a matching handlebar stem. Stem and handlebars give your scooter a much sportier look.
motoCross handlebar 28mm
28mm MX handlebars are the ideal choice for off-road riders. Thanks to their robust and durable construction, these handlebars are suitable for tough off-road use. You will need 28mm handlebar clamps for mounting these handlebars. The handlebars are available in many designs and colours, so you can alter the look of your bike.
In addition, there are old school handlebars for classic mopeds - M-bars, chrome handlebars, Z-bars or twisted handlebars to pimp your vintage two-wheeler.
