Turn signal lenses

Indicator lenses are the plastic ( or sometimes glass) covers for the turn signal and bulb.
Turn signal lenses have two functions:

• They seal the bulb and protect it from moisture to prevent short circuits.
• In combination with the bulb, they ensure the correct turn signal color.

Turn signal lenses are mandatory for riding on public roads so damaged lenses must be replaced ASAP.

Customizing with coloured lenses

Indicator lenses are required by law, but there is some room for individual customizing.
There are white transparent lenses, tinted lenses, carbon look lenses and even turn signal paint, with which you can color your turn signals as you wish. To stay legal and safe, you must ensure that the correct colour lights up when flashing and braking! So if you decide to use custom lenses, you may want to use coloured indicator bulbs.
