Description
Supermoto mudguard Polisport SM Line
Polisport is a reference in the field of plastic parts and accessories for motocross. Their products are of excellent quality, based on experience since 1978.
Advantage of a Supermoto mudguard
First and foremost, of course, there is a visual advantage. Supermoto motorcycles are motocross or enduro bikes on which 17- or 16.5-inch wheels are mounted. As standard, the mudguard is designed to cover a 21-inch wheel, so it is very large for the smaller wheel, which is intended for road use. It can therefore be replaced by a Supermoto mudguard.
This Supermoto mudguard has several advantages:
- Size to fit the Supermoto bike
- Lower weight, as it is smaller
- Less surface area, therefore less surface area for wind to attack
Fitting the Supermotard mudguard
This Polisport front mudguard is a universal part. It must therefore be adapted to your vehicle by drilling the mounting holes in the right place, regardless of whether it is a motocross, enduro or 50cc moped.
Here are our tips:
- Dismantle the standard mudguard
- Prepare a template / pattern to transfer the mounting holes of the standard mudguard exactly to the Supermoto mudguard
- Drill the Supermoto mudguard using your template/template
- Check that your holes are correctly aligned with those of the standard mudguard so that the bolts are not set at an angle and the fork bridge threads are not damaged
- If everything fits, fit the mudguard
Note: On some motorcycles, e.g. KTM from 2013, Suzuki RM-Z from 2008 or Honda CRF from 2009, additional spacer sleeves must be used as the fastenings are offset (front bolts higher than the rear bolts).

mudguard
No matter if scooter, motorcycle or moped - all two-wheelers are equipped with a fender or mudguard. The mudguard is a part of the fairing, is made of plastic or fiberglass and is painted in the color of the respective vehicle.
Front mudguard
The front fender is attached to the lower part of the fork and runs over the front wheel. Its purpose is to prevent mud and water splashes from getting onto the fairing, legs or rider's helmet.
Rear mudguard
The rear fender sits above the rear wheel and is primarily intended to prevent mud and water splashes from soiling the vehicle. It specifically protects the rear fairing, the seat, the rider's back, and in some cases, the license plate.
The mudguard can also be used for customizing to change the look or style of the vehicle by combining different colors, for example.
