The Alpinestars SM5 motocross cross helmet is one of the brand's entry-level models. The Italian manufacturer, which was initially known primarily for its high-quality motocross boots, now also offers helmets.
The SM5 is a comparatively inexpensive entry-level, yet well-designed helmet that offers the rider maximum comfort and safety.
Unlike helmets in higher price categories, the SM5 is not available in as many different shell sizes. The motocross helmet naturally meets the requirements of the new ECE22.06 standard.

Demanding riders who always want the best of the best should take a look at the SM10 made of carbon. If you are looking for a good compromise between price and high-tech, the SM8 would probably be the best choice.

Motocross helmet

Off-roading requires special equipment, and that includes a special MX helmet. Cross helmets usually have numerous vents to keep the rider as ventilated as possible, even in extreme conditions. Instead of a visor, most cross helmets have a long, adjustable peak that serves as sun protection in constantly changing light conditions and also as a splash guard. Motocross helmets are much lighter than full-face or flip-up helmets, but lack a bit in terms of noise insulation.
