Oil filters protect your engine, and from time to time you should get a new one: Malossi "Red Chilli" Oil Filter for Yamaha T-Max 500 - 530cc.
A micro-filter provides excellent filtration, even minuscule particles are filtered out of the oil, and it is large enough (68x50mm) to contain quite a lot of larger sized contaminants.
It is made from premium materials and is quite insensitive to very low (-20°), high or rapidly changing temperatures. Perfect for replacing the original oil filter.

Despite popular belief that changing the oil is more important than changing the filter - wrong! The oil filter retains all impurities and shavings so that they do not get into any vital engine components. So simply changing the oil without replacing the filter increases the risk of contaminants getting into the new oil.
So keep in mind: Replace the filter every time you change the oil!
