Seat cover quilted for Simson S51
Premium quality diamon stitch seat cover from Schmitt for Simson S50, S51, S70 mopeds.
In many cases, it is not necessary to replace the complete seat, it's often possible to renovate your two-wheeler by simply getting a new cover for it.
The covers are handmade, with colour contrasting seams. Available in 4 different colour combinations. The non-slip seat is made in durable diamond stitch faux suede.
The cover is made of several layers of synthetic material with vulcanized, sealed seams. The embroidered Schmitt logo at the back is black. The sides, also made of synthetic leather, are smooth.
The Schmitt seat cover is tailored to fit the original Simson seat, stretched with an integrated cord and secured to the seat plate with staples.
There is a strap for the passenger that matches the 4 available colour variants, in this case that would be the strap black / green.

Seat cover
No matter if you want to replace the worn original seat cover or want to customize your motorcycle, scooter or moped by adding a custom cover - this is a short tutorial on how to replace a seat cover.
Tools needed to change the seat cover:
- Tool to remove the seat cover.
- Flat screwdriver to lift the clamps.
- Pliers to remove the staples.
- Stapler (wooden stapler or wall stapler) to attach the new cover.
- Cutter knife to cut off excess fabric.
- A heat gun can be used to remove wrinkles caused during storage.
Change seat cover:
To install the new cover, proceed as follows:
- Remove the seat.
- Make sure the new seat cover fits by placing it over the seat.
- Using a flathead screwdriver and pliers, remove the staples from the existing cover.
- Place the new cover on top of the seat foam.
- Staple the front part of the cover, making sure it fits properly.
- Pull the cover back and staple the back part in place once the cover is a perfect fit.
- Staple the side parts one by one from the front to the back, pulling the cover taut.
- If necessary, cut off excess material parts with a cutter knife or scissors.
- Reassemble the seat on the vehicle.
