Description
Tuning Kit cylinder + crankshaft 50cc MVT G1 S-Race MBK 51. We assembled some of the main components of the S-Race series from MVT as a kit. Cylinder, exhaust and crankshaft work perfectly together and in combination lead to a considerable power increase for your 50cc classic moped.
The pack includes:
- Aluminium cylinder kit 50cc MVT G1 S-Race MBK 51
- Exhaust MVT SP2 S-Race MBK 51
- Crankshaft MVT G1 S-Race MBK 51
- Crankshaft bearings + oil seals reinforced C3 polyamide cage MBK 51 / 88
The S-Race cylinder is a high performance tuning cylinder made of aluminum, with 6 transfer ports and anexhaust with boost ports. It comes with a 1-ring piston and a cylinder head (High Compression). You will notice the increase in performance especially in the higher rpm range.
The S-Race exhaust (with fantastic looking red silencer) is the perfect match for MVT's S-Race cylinders, with wide powerband and strong performance, for improved acceleration and higher top speed. The flange is adjustable, so that optimal alignment of cylinder and exhaust can be achieved and you have some wriggle room for fine tuning, as you can shorten or lengthen the exhaust tract a bit.
To match: a S-Race full circle crankshaft, which provides better torque thanks to increased pre-compression in the engine case. The balancing is extremely precise, which leads to smooth running even in the higher rpm range. The crankshaft is very robust and resilient and can also be used for racing / endurance racing.
We also included matching crankshaft bearings + oil seals. The bearings with polyamide cage can withstand very high rpms and can be used for racing setups.
Tuning Level: Racing
We categorize our products into different performance levels Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.
Racing products are designed for a more extreme uses and are developed primarily for racing. Whether you stay at 50cc or increase the displacement, the corresponding Racing parts produce much higher performance than the original parts in order to achieve maximum power.
Aluminium cylinders
Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.
How to run in an aluminium cylinder?
Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.
Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.
