Italkit ignitions are manufactured in Italy by Selettra. These are analog systems with fixed ignition timing and internal rotor. The fixed timing means the spark always occurs at the same point regardless of engine speed, making setup significantly easier. The internal rotor, much smaller and lighter than a conventional rotor, gives the engine more direct response and faster revving.
This is especially relevant for small displacement engines, which often deliver less power at low RPM and only reach their full potential at higher engine speeds. By reaching operating RPM more quickly, power delivery feels more direct.
