The essential element
When it comes to engine tuning, the carburetor isn't the first part you need to change to get more power. However, after fitting an expansion exhaust and a sport variator, it's advisable to plan to replace your carburetor to obtain a more homogeneous unit. Today's carburetor market has evolved enormously. Previously, only Italy's Dell'Orto was recognized in the carburetor design and construction market. Since then, new brands have arrived, offering ever more technical and aesthetic products. The famous German engine manufacturer Stage 6, renowned for the diversity and quality of its technical products, has teamed up with leading brands to offer large-diameter Stage 6 carburetors for even greater performance. With Koso, Stage 6 has decided to develop its range of Stage 6 R/T carburetors. Equipped with a polished venturi system, these carburetors ensure faster engine intake and filling when the throttle is opened. With their standard dimensions (35mm for the intake pipe and 49mm for the air filter), these Stage 6 carburetors are easy to fit.
Available in 21, 24, 26, 28 and 30mm sizes, they all use the Powerjet system for optimum filling at high revs. Stage 6 also markets VHST carburetors, much appreciated by track racers. Designed by Dell'Orto, these flat-plug carburetors have an excellent finish, allowing extremely fine tuning. They are equipped with reworked floats and diffusers. Recommended for Racing and Hyper Racing engines, these carburetors are ideal for powerful engines.
