Crankshaft Booster / BW's
Do you want your tuned scooter to run more reliably? Then go for a reinforced crankshaft!
The crankshaft is one of the most important components in a performance upgrade for a scooter or moped. It has to withstand enormous loads at speeds of over 15,000 rpm. An original crankshaft would not be suitable for this, which is why we offer a large selection of reinforced crankshafts with different connecting rod lengths, perfectly matched to your individual setup.

Go for a reinforced crankshaft
The crankshaft is under constant stress in your engine, sitting at the center of all rotations – from the piston to the variator and the ignition. Stock 50cc scooter crankshafts are usually hollow to save weight and reduce manufacturing costs. When you increase the engine’s displacement or performance, the original crankshaft often can’t handle higher RPMs and the extra torque from the cylinder. That’s why upgrading to a reinforced crankshaft, usually a full-circle design, is essential.
We offer a wide range of tuning parts, including reinforced crankshafts for MBK Booster / Yamaha BW’s. But it’s not just for performance fans: if you need to replace a broken stock crankshaft, we also provide affordable alternatives. For example, Motoforce delivers crankshafts with small end bearings at very fair prices, compatible with Booster / BW’s, Slider / Stunt, and other scooters with vertical Minarelli engines. Crankshafts with a 10 mm piston pin fit easily in place of your old crankshaft.
Our website also offers tutorials to help you replace the crankshaft yourself with ease. For serious tuning projects or increased displacement, we also stock reinforced crankshafts for high-performance cylinders like 70 cc aluminum racing kits.
Remember: a good sport or racing crankshaft ensures reliability and can save you from expensive damage caused by a broken stock crankshaft.
