Malossi - It's a family affair

In the 1930s Armando Malossi opened a small company for two-wheeler parts in Bologna, Italy. His eldest son, Ugo Malossi, joined his father's company. Driven by his passion for motorcycles, he soon developed 2- and 4-stroke engines for mopeds, small displacement motorcycles and scooters. In 1969, Ugo's brother Sandro joined the company and this was the beginning of a successful partnership that still exists today.

Exhaust, carburetor, intake, cylinder, cylinder head and piston: this was the first Malossi tuning kit for Yamaha TY 50cc Enduro, which came out in 1978. It was the first of many kits developed for numerous manufacturers and engines in the years to follow. In 2000, the company moved to their new factory in Calderara di Reno. In 2017, the Italian company officially celebrated their 60th anniversary. Research, innovation, opening up new markets: these are the key words for the continued success of this heritage company. Malossi is one of the first manufacturers who dared to break the 70cc displacement limit, which had a lasting impact on the entire aftermarket industry.

Malossi - A synonym for racing

The Malossi racing division was born in the 1980s under the direction of Sandro Malossi: the Trofei Malossi, also known as the Malossi Cup, was held in Italy but also in Greece, England, Spain, France and Germany. The production of the first kits for mopeds with CVT by MBK and Peugeot prompted Malossi to get involved in the world of racing in the 1980s. Andrea, Ugo's son, joined the company at a very young age in the 1990s and became a test rider and quality control manager. Today, the brand with the roaring lion as their logo organizes the successful T-Max Cup. The 50cc world and racing would be unthinkable without Malossi. The brand and their modern R&D department are at the forefront of technology and offer innovative, cuttting-edge products for racing, such as the Malossi RC-One crankcases or the entire MHR Team range.

Malossi, a 100% Italian company, is a worldwide reference for tuning components for two-wheelers, especially for 50cc scooters and maxi scooters / big displacement scooters. Among the best sellers are the Multivar CVTs with a complete range for 50cc scooters, 50cc dirt bikes, Yamaha T-Max etc. as well as numerous Malossi cylinders: cast iron Sport, Replica, MHR Team, Testa Rossa. All Malossi products are the result of the long history of a family that has always been passionate about two-wheelers and has kept this passion alive until today.
