Yamaha Aerox 2T after 2003

The Yamaha Aerox, marketed by sister company MBK under the model name Nitro, is one of the best-selling scooters in Europe. The scooter with the sporty look and relatively compact chassis has been on the market since 1997. The first generation was produced until 2013, when the design was modernized. In 2018, Yamaha and MBK made a radical change and switched from a Minarelli 2-stroke engine to a more environmentally friendly 4-stroke engine.

Yamaha Aerox 2 STROKE: ENGINE

The Yamaha Aerox is a modern scooter with automatic transmission (CVT) and autolube system. The displacement is 49cc and the power output is around 3 hp at 7,000 rpm.

Thanks to the liquid-cooled horizontal Minarelli engine, which is widely used and very popular with tuners, the Aerox offers the best conditions for Aerox tuning. Even beginners can get more power out of the engine with inexpensive parts and a minimum of know-how.

Yamaha Aerox LC: CHASSIS

A relatively low weight, a short wheelbase and 12-inch wheels - a combination that guarantees maneuverability in city traffic. The Nitro / Aerox has hydraulic disc brakes that reliably bring the machine to a standstill even at high speeds.
