Honda CRF 150 R - History

Honda was one of the first motorcycle manufacturers to develop 4-stroke motocross motorcycles early on and was the first to discontinue the production of 2-stroke offroad bikes. In 2007, Honda developed a powerful motorcycle for younger riders, the 150 CRF, to compete against the 85cc two-stroke models.

The 150 CRF adopted some elements of the 85 CR, but is clearly an upgrade with its own design. With a comparable size and the same performance as its competitors, it easily established itself in this category. Incidentally, the concept of a 4-stroke racing motorcycle for kids was never adopted or copied by other manufacturers.

The Honda CRF 150 is therefore a non-road-legal racing motorcycle designed for kids and teens between 1.30 m and 1.65 m tall (with two versions, small "R" wheels and large "RB" wheels).
With its easy-to-operate engine, the CRF 150 can be used as an entry-level motocross bike, even if it is more suitable for experienced riders.
