Honda Dax 50 - General information
The Honda Dax 50cc, also known as the Honda ST50, is an iconic minibike first launched by Honda in 1969. The name "Dax" for the Honda Dax was introduced by Honda Europe and is inspired by the badger (German Dachs), a small predator known for its compact build and nimbleness. The shape of the first Dax model was so innovative and unique that, apart from minor modifications, it has remained unchanged until today's licensed replicas and has attained cult status for many fans worldwide. The design was distinctive in a number of ways: small wheels, the tank is installed under the seat in a frame welded from two sheet metal shells. The handlebars can be folded down, which means that it fits into any van and (like the even smaller Monkey) is popular as a motorized vehicle for motorhomes.
Dax 50cc - Engine
The Dax 50cc Honda is equipped with an air-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine. It has a manual gearbox and reaches a top speed of 55 km/h. It can be kick-started or started electrically.
Dax 50 cc - Chassis
The front suspension consists of a telescopic fork and the rear suspension of an adjustable shock absorber. The brakes are disc brakes at the front (Ø 155mm) and drum brakes at the rear (Ø 130mm).
