Piaggio Quartz - General information

The Piaggio Quartz was produced from 1992 to 1997. Although some of the parts were produced in India, China or Vietnam, most of them were traditionally assembled in Pontedera, Italy. The Piaggio Quartz was based on the Piaggio Sfera, although the Quartz was fitted with different fairing parts, a new engine cooling system (liquid-cooled instead of air-cooled) and slightly larger tires. In some countries, the Quartz is also known under the name SKR City as an air-cooled 80 cc model. In terms of appearance, it is similar to the Piaggio SKR 125/150, later also known as the Skipper, but with a longer engine block.
