Aprilia RS 50 - General information

The Aprilia RS 50 is a popular 50cc sport moped that is particularly appreciated by fans of classic motorcycles. It was first presented to the public in 1992. The Aprilia RS50 boasts a sport bike design reminiscent of the company's larger racing motorcycles, complete with full fairing and an authentic racing aesthetic. The Aprilia RS 50 Chesterfield, inspired by Max Biaggi's many victories in the 90s, was particularly popular when it was launched in 1996. It has a dry weight of 90 kg and a seat height of 810 mm.

Aprilia RS50 - Engine

The RS50 is equipped with a liquid-cooled Minarelli AM6 2-stroke single-cylinder engine, delivering impressive acceleration and very high top speeds for a 50cc bike. With a little tuning, the 49.9 cc powerhouse can reach up to 11 hp, which is truly outstanding for this class. The classic RS model was later joined by the RS4 50, which was modeled on Aprilia's powerful super sports bikes in terms of design. In contrast to many supermotos, the Aprilia RS 50 features a sporty, bullish street bike look with striking headlights and plenty of riding fun and power to match - a true motorcycle in a 50cc version. The mixture is prepared via a carburetor.

Aprilia RS 50 - Chassis

The Aprilia RS 50 is equipped with an upside-down fork at the front and a mono-hydraulic shock absorber at the rear, giving you that real racing feel on the road. The frame is made entirely of aluminum, which results in an reduced overall weight. The brake system consists of disc brakes at the front (290 mm) and rear (220 mm).
