The Aprilia SR 50 DiTech, built between 2003 and 2012 (chassis number ZD4TE), is arguably the most reliable evolution of this sport scooter following the initial fuel-injected models. From 2003 onwards, it was equipped with the well-known Piaggio engine – also found in the Gilera Runner – which earned a reputation for its robustness and solid performance. With its racing look, low fuel consumption, and low emission levels, the SR 50 DiTech became the perfect choice for anyone looking for a stylish and efficient 50cc scooter for the city.

Engine
The engine in this version is supplied by Piaggio. Thanks to the DiTech Orbital system (air-assisted direct injection), the combustion process is significantly cleaner and more precise. The power is more than enough to reach the regulated 45 km/h with decent acceleration. Even though there is no longer a carburetor, plenty of potential can still be unlocked from this engine with the right tuning.
