KTM SX 85 - HISTORY
In 2004, after a ten-year absence, KTM tried their hands at 85cc motocross bike again. The aim was to offer aspiring young racers a state-of-the-art motocross bike. With groundbreaking technology and uncompromising quality, the KTM 85 quickly established itself as the most popular bike in its class.
The PDS system, adopted from the larger KTM machines, together with a powerful valve-controlled engine, a modern exhaust and an impressive 43mm fork, gave the KTM 85 a clear advantage over the competition. The outstanding chassis was retained with slight adjustments until 2012, before undergoing a comprehensive upgrade in 2013.
In 2018, the chassis was fundamentally redesigned, adopting the design of the larger displacement motorcycles. The introduction of an air fork that can be easily adjusted to the rider's weight and, above all, a new engine with a completely new, adjustable power valve system set new standards. The already outstanding performance has been further enhanced and the KTM 85 SX continues to assert itself as the queen of the 85cc class despite strong competition.
This compact racing motorcycle is available in two versions, with small and large wheels, and is suitable for kids between approx. 1.35 m and 1.65 m tall.
The motocross bike is not approved for use on public roads, but is intended for recreational and competitive use on motocross tracks.
