Brake cylinder / brake pump for scooters, mopeds, Motorcycles

The braking process in the hydraulic brake of scooters and motorcycles is triggered by the brake lever via the brake pump, also called brake master cylinder. The brake lever presses on an internal cylinder, which transmits this pressure to the brake fluid in the brake line. This in turn then transmits the pressure to the brake pistons of the brake caliper which presses the brake pads against the brake disc.

A brake pump that is no longer functioning properly must therefore be replaced immediately to ensure that you can always call up the necessary braking power.

Brake cylinders for tuned scooters

For tuned race bikes you should use high end brake cylinders with optimized pressure point and better dosing. Here we have some really nice brake cylinders by brands like:

It is a good idea to use the extra power of the brake pump with a matching brake caliper. Have a look at our brake calipers from Stage6. With this combination you are guaranteed a safe ride.
