Carburetor main and idle jets

Carburetor jets control the amount of fuel that is fed into the carburetor for preparing the mixture.

The size of the main jet has a direct impact on engine performance. If the jet is too large, the mixture will be too rich, if the jet is too small, the mixture will be too lean. The spark plug tells you if the mixture is ok, it should be tan.

We recommend purchasing a complete carburetor jet set with 8 or more different sized jets that will allow you to adjust your carburetor settings for optimum performance. The choice of the right pilot jet can influence the performance positively or negatively as well, we offer various sizes and types.
