Description
Brake Caliper and caliper adapter Stage6 R/T
You can mount the 4-piston caliper from Stage6 R/T install with the matching adjustable adapter, so we decided to put the two components together as a kit: Brake caliper 4-piston incl. adapter Stage6 R/T.
The Stage6 R/T 4-piston caliper is a high-end racing product. Whether on the street or the race track, the caliper ensures safe handling of your your scooter and braking can be delayed until the last moment. The caliper can be used with the original brake pump. The radial mounting of the caliper allows easy and stable mounting, which is otherwise only known from modern GP and Superbikes. The caliper comes with matching brake pads.
The adapter is suitable for mounting the caliper with the original fork mount. Due to the flexible design of the adapter it is possible to install 190mm, 220mm 240mm and 280mm brake discs. The CNC machined aluminum adapter offers high stability even during heavy braking.
Available in 3 colours / finishes: Orange, Black and Hard Anodized (steel gray).
Scope of delivery:
Brake caliper
The brake caliper is an important part of the braking system. The brake pads are located in the caliper and are "clamped" by the caliper piston. The piston is driven by the brake fluid and presses the brake pads against the brake disc.
The brake caliper must always be in good condition and must not leak. If you want to repair the caliper on a small budget, you can use one of the many caliper repair kits from major brands like Brembo, AJP, Nissin, etc.
Racing caliper
After tuning measures, where the performance of a motorcycle is increased, the brakes must also be readjusted. You can install oversize kits instead of the original brake discs, or use racing calipers with multiple or larger pistons. Some tuning calipers are made of materials that allow better heat dissipation.
Especially for enduro and motocross bikes, there are various caliper upgrade kits. There are also complete brake kits with brake disc, brake pads, caliper, brake line and brake master cylinder.
For 50cc scooters and motorcycles, we offer 2-piston calipers that considerably improve braking performance. Most calipers are universal and are adapted to a specific vehicle via a brake caliper adapter.
Changing a brake caliper
To install a brake caliper, you need relatively few tools. However, you should make sure that the copper washers on the banjo bolt that holds the brake hose are in perfect condition so that no fluid can leak out.
You'll also need new brake fluid, as you'll need to bleed the brake system. You must remove all air bubbles from the system; you can bleed manually or with a special brake bleeder.
