Changing the chain
The chain and sprocket / chain wheel should be replaced if the teeth of the sprockets become too sharp, the chain is too loose or has hard spots, which makes riding rough.
After fitting the new chain set, it is essential to adjust the chain tension correctly.

The transmission ratio of the chain drive is the ratio between the front and rear sprocket. It is calculated as follows: Number of teeth of rear sprocket / Number of teeth of front sprocket. A low ratio increases speed, a high ratio increases acceleration.
