Description
Speed sensor with cable Derbi Senda X-Treme and Yamaha DT
Speed sensor for digital speedometers for Derbi Senda, Gilera SMT, Aprilia SX or Yamaha DT.
These motorcycles use a digital speedometer and require an electronic speed sensor to measure the revolutions of the wheel and thus display the current speed on a digital speedometer. So if you have problems with your digital speedometer, it may be due to a broken cable or a defective sensor.
The sensor and cable are very easy to replace and can be changed with just a few tools.
Please note: On Yamaha DT and MBK X-Limit, the original speedometer sensor has a different connector plug, so you will need to make some adjustments.

Speedo Drive
The speedometer drive is usually located on the front wheel axle of your motorcycle or scooter. It transmits the rotation of the wheel to the speedometer cable, which in turn transmits it to the speedometer itself.
Speedometer no longer works
If the speedometer no longer works, i.e. the speed is no longer displayed correctly and the mileage does not increase, this is probably not due to the speedometer itself. You should first check the speedometer speedometer cable and the speedometer drive, as it is much cheaper to replace those components than the entire dashboard.
