Stage6 R/T Oversize Variator / Clutch / Torque Driver Kit for Piaggio – complete oversize drive kit for racing engines. All components are precisely matched: oversize variator, oversize torque driver, reinforced drive belt, and a racing clutch with bell and springs.
Attention: This version is designed for Piaggio / Gilera / Vespa with short engine cases! We also have an oversize Stage6 R/T drive kit for Piaggio with a long engine block.
The perfect choice for riders with tuned engines who want to extend the shifting range using the proven oversize system. We strongly recommend adjusting all drive components accordingly, otherwise optimal performance won't be achieved. Stage6 R/T oversize variator
The Stage6 R/T oversize variator ensures a highly consistent RPM curve throughout the entire acceleration phase. The ramp angles are precision-machined on a CNC lathe and sealed with a ceramic conversion coating to preserve surface quality (roughness) over time. Includes torque plate with reinforced contact area, running sleeve with optimized lubrication properties, fan half with integrated fan blades, a set of roller weights, and a matching Stage6 R/T medium contra spring.
Stage6 R/T oversize Rear Pulley
The matching Stage6 R/T Oversize Torque Driver is a high-end component made from CNC-machined aluminum halves, screwed together with guide plates. Each half is lathed before assembly to ensure maximum precision, especially at the angle of the flanks. Surface roughness is a top priority, as it has a major influence on shifting and downshifting behavior. The surface is then finished with a deep ceramic coating to maintain these characteristics long-term. Both the guide bush and pulley discs are replaceable to meet specific tuning needs.
Stage6 Torque Control MK2 clutch
The Torque Control MK2 is the upgraded version of the highly successful Stage6 Torque Control clutch, featuring a reinforced backplate, larger linings, and slightly heavier clutch arms. Additional weights can be quickly and easily installed. Thanks to its patented design with forward-facing clutch springs, the engagement RPM can be finely adjusted without removing the clutch. Spring preload is infinitely adjustable via scaled set screws. On the back of the clutch arms, an 8-step weight shifting system allows for extensive customization of the clutch engagement point.
Stage6 R/T CNC clutch bell
The Stage6 R/T CNC-Type 433g clutch bell is arguably one of the best on the market. CNC-machined from a solid block rather than stamped like most others, its precision is unmatched. The cooling ring is machined directly into the bell, not heat-shrunk. Two access holes in the cooling ring allow clutch adjustment without removing the bell.
Also included: 1x set of hard (red) clutch springs for the Torque Control. Red = hard, intended for racing and high-end setups.
Stage6 Oversize V-belt
For use with the oversize variator and torque driver, the Stage6 R/T drive belt is reinforced with Kevlar fibers. Offers excellent grip for optimal power transfer and performance.

Depending on the manufacturer, CVT kits may also include one or more contra springs or a clutch and clutch bell.
The different types of CVT kits
- CVT kit original: these kits contain OEM quality CVT components, the CVT transmission can be reset to the original condition.
- CVT kit Sport: Sport transmissions differ from OEM transmissons by a lighter variator, a modified angle and a special lining aimed at improving top speed as well as acceleration. In most cases the kits come with a reinforced belt.
- CVT kit Overrange / Oversize: Oversize kits have the same improvements as the Sport variants, but are also characterized by larger dimensions and are used with a longer oversize V-belt. This configuration improves the performance of your scooter quite a bit.
To simplify the installation of a new CVT, we strongly recommend the use of appropriate tools, especially a piston stopper, which is very practical for the removal and installation of a CVT transmission.
