Lock + Key Set 3 cables MBK Booster Next / Yamaha BW's NG after 2003.Keys can get lost or break off, and sometimes the lock simply does not work any more. We carry a huge variety of OEM quality spare locks, much cheaper than the original part and just as good.

Ignition lock function
On a motorcycle or scooter, an ignition switch can have several functions. The most important one is, of course, opening and closing the circuit via the spark plug so the engine will run. In doing so, the ignition lock also activates the 12-volt voltage to power the speedometer, vehicle lights and other electrical instruments. In some cases, the lock is combined with a handlebar lock to protect against theft.
If you want to convert your motorcycle into a racer, remove certain functions and simplify the wiring harness, you can replace the ignition lock with a killswitch.
