Description
Stage6 Racing Floating Brake Disc
Stage6 is constantly working to refine its products for both street and racing use, and the braking sector is no exception.
The Stage6 R/T MKII 200mm floating disc was developed with maximum reliability and braking power in mind, resulting in a true high-end brake disc that’s perfectly suited for racing yet equally capable in everyday use.
Compatible with many Piaggio, Gilera, and Vespa models with matching dimensions, including:
- Piaggio Zip SP50, Fly 50-150, Free 50-100, Hexagon 125-250
- Gilera Runner VX (rear, DNA (rear), Ice (front)
- Vespa LX 50-125, ET2 / ET4 50-150, Primavera 50-150, S / Sprint 50-150, PX 125-200
- LML Star 125-200
The disc is 100% made in Italy and tested under real track conditions. It’s made entirely from high-quality martensitic steel with a high carbon and chromium content, providing outstanding hardness and exceptional durability. The surface heat treatment is the same process used on superbikes, allowing track riders to brake consistently and powerfully throughout the entire race.
This model is a floating disc, which not only looks great but also delivers clear performance benefits. Floating discs distribute braking force about 30% more evenly than standard discs, resulting in smoother brake response and more uniform pad wear. The disc is equipped with orange-anodized 7075 T6 aluminum bushings—just as strong as steel but much lighter.
Advantages of floating brake discs
- Consistent, powerful braking even under extreme conditions
- Excellent heat distribution with minimal expansion or warping
- Reduced brake pad wear
- Improved handling and grip when braking through corners
To achieve optimal braking performance, it’s important to use brake pads suited to your riding style and application. Recommended combinations:
- Original brake caliper

Motorcycle and scooter brake disk
The brake disc on the front wheel and / or rear wheel play an essential role in the braking system of motorcycles and scooters.
Brake rotors are firmly attached to the wheel or wheel hub with brake bolts. They work in conjunction with the brake pads, which are pressed onto the brake discs via the brake caliper. This pressure creates the friction that is important for braking, which allows the vehicle to slow down and come to a stop.
When to change the brake rotor?
Brake pads wear out faster than brake discs and need to be replaced regularly. Brake discs, on the other hand, can last between 20,000 and 40,000 kilometers, depending on driving conditions. It is recommended that you monitor brake pad wear and inspect brake rotors for signs of excessive wear or deformation. If you see any sign of damage, the brake disc should be replaced.
No matter if standard, wave or floating - when you install a new brake disc on your scooter or motorcycle, you should also replace the brake pads at the same time. You should securely fasten front or rear brake disc with threadlocker.
