Racing Crankshaft AM6 by Stage6

High-quality tuning parts from Stage6: Crankshaft Stage6 HPC 45mm stroke / 90mm connecting rod Minarelli AM6, perfect complement for racing and high-end racing cylinders.

Tuning specialist Stage6 developed this High Primary Compression (HPC) crankshaft especially for the Stage6 88cc cylinder kits (Big Racing + Streetrace).

The crank webs of this top quality full-circle crankshaft are slightly lighter, and together with the light alloy balance weights the balancing of this crankshaft is excellent. The connecting rod, specially designed for this crankshaft, offers significantly higher strength since it is 14 mm wide (instead of 12 mm); this reduces bearing wear while increasing stability even at extremely high speeds.

In this version, the connecting rod is 90mm long / for 45mm stroke.

This HPC crankshaft was built for tuned engines, and as a matter of course the Streetrace & Big Racing 88cc kits are not the pnly cylinders this crankshaft can be used with. You can combine it with all racing and high-end racing  cylinders that have to be run with a 45mm stroke crankshaft.

We recommend the installation of new crankshaft bearings, new oil seals and the use of the high quality Stage6 gear oil. You'll find the recommended products at the bottom of the page.

Note:

  • Most Minarelli AM6 cylinders come standard with an 85mm connecting rod. You'll have to compensate the height difference with a 5mm spacer (except on Stage6 cylinders). We recommend the 5mm Spacer Stage6 CNC Orange Minarelli AM6.
  • The crankcase must be milled open a little; calculate accurately beforehand, lay out the parts and paint the correct dimensions onto the case to make the passage of the connecting rod clearly visible.
  • Journals: 20mm

Stage6 HPC

The HPC crankshafts from Stage6 are the brand's racing crankshafts. There are versions with standard stroke and with long stroke, the HPC shafts are available for both 50cc motorcycles and scooters.

HPC crankshaft performance

The HPC crankshaft (HPC for High Primary Compression) is very robust and also suitable for high RPMs, e.g. in combination with the Stage6 Big Racing cylinder.

Supplied without crankshaft bearings. Please also remember to get the necessary tools, e.g. a flywheel puller.

How to change a crankshaft?

The crankshaft is one of the main components of the engine and is responsible for the smooth operation of motorcycle, scooter and moped, whether with two-stroke or four-stroke engine. The longevity of the engine depends not only on the proper condition of the crankshaft, but also on the fact that it is properly mounted.

How can I tell if my crankshaft is Damaged?

A broken crankshaft causes metallic noises, unusual vibrations, leaking oil seals and drastically reduces the performance of the two-wheeler. In any case, the vehicle must be stopped immediately to prevent the damage from getting worse.

Please note that whenever the crankshaft is changed and serviced, you'll have to install new crankshaft bearings.

Tuning Level: High End racing

We categorize our products into different performance levels  Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.

High End Racing products are exclusively designed for racing and should only be handled by tuning pros with the appropriate technical know-how. High-end racing parts often require modifications or machining of certain elements to accommodate the often larger components (larger crank webs, larger intake, etc.). Whether you stick with 50cc or increase the displacement, high-end racing parts offer much higher performance than the original parts and are the most powerful tuning parts.

Note: To ensure the reliability of the engine, it is important that the parts are compatible and that you do regular maintenance on your two-wheeler.

    très bon vilo de qualité pour le 88 stage 6 on sens une pièce de qualité seul pépin il est un peu galère a centrer une fois dans les carters. Peut-être que ça vient des roulements de la même marque mais j'ai du taper fort pour le libérer.

    Il a l'air bien la cage a aiguille aussi par contre faut fraiser le passage de bielle et aussi la tete dans le carter parce que sa passe juste sur am6 mais pour moi il y avais risque de frottement alors j'ai pas tenté de laisser sans retouché
