The ATHENA Sport 70cc cylinder kit is the ideal choice for those looking for a perfect balance of high performance and maximum strength. The cylinder has a 47.6 mm bore and the bore is nicasil-coated.

The cylinder is ideal for racing thanks to its polished 1-ring piston and high port timings. The intake tract has been completely redesigned and modified to optimize gas flow, while the exhaust has been enlarged to maximize performance.

The high compression cylinder head has a compression ratio of 13.8:1 and is fitted with a conical dome that improves combustion efficiency. This kit offers an excellent balance between power and torque while ensuring high durability. It is suitable for use in competitions that require robust engines as well as for everyday use.
Attention! The cylinder is NOT homologated.
CONFIGURATION: To get the best out of the performance, we recommend using a racing exhaust, a 21mm - 26mm carburetor, reinforced bearings (set C3 or C4), a reinforced crankshaft and a racing spark plug.

The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

Aluminium cylinders
Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.
How to run in an aluminium cylinder?
Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.
Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.
