Description

Since its inception, Stage6 are committed to develop performance-enhancing tuning parts and don't shy away from tackling new tasks. As of now, they are getting into the market for 50cc bikes by introducing the Stage6 Cylinder Kit Big Racing 88cc for Minarelli AM6.

The cylinder kit includes:

  • 86cc / 88cc cylinder, aluminium, 50mm bore, 44mm stroke + 85mm connecting rod / 45mm stroke + 90mm connecting rod, with 5 transfer ports and 32mm bridged exhaust
  • 1-ring Vertex piston, d. 50mm
  • high compression cylinder head, monobloc, aluminium
  • gasket set (base and head gaskets)
  • 5mm cylinder spacer for use with 45mm stroke / 90mm conrod crankshaft

The cylinder was developed in close cooperation with the MXS Racing experts; by benefitting from their considerable experience of 50cc bikes and drawing from their own extensive technical know-how, Stage6 was able to design a thoroughly convincing new tuning cylinder.

The cylinder features a rather basic and inconspicuous exterior, but we all know that appearances can be deceptive. We're talking genuine ""Big Bore"" here – cylinder layout is not based on a modified standard model that was milled open to create a bigger bore, but was designed as a Big Bore right from the start, with matching transfer ports and a bridged exhaust port big enough to support the excess performance.

The BigRacing cylinders impress with ease of installationoutstanding performance, and high reliability.   

- Installation is very easy, crankcase milling or any other modification are not necessary. Squish clearance is pre-set to a value optimized for the respective engine type. 
- In terms of output, the BigRacing cylinders knock it out of the ballpark: we measured a whopping 25,2 PS and 15,4 Nm on our P4 test bench using a standard set-up (24mm carburetor, original ignition, racing exhaust etc.). 
- Port timings are relatively low, cooling system volume is quite large and the piston is a top quality Vertex piston. All of these factors contribute to the cylinder's high dependability and robustness, provided that set-up and adjustments are appropriate. 

The 86cc / 88cc cylinder can be used with two types of crankshaft: 

  1. crankshaft 44mm stroke / 85mm connecting rod without spacer => 86cc
  2. crankshaft 45mm stroke / 90mm connecting rod with spacer => 88cc


The exterior is a replica of the original cylinder with a 49cc stamp; don't worry, this is definitely an 88cc cylinder!

Note: if you're running the cylinder with a 90mm conrod crankshaft, you'll have to use longer stud bolts (M7x120mm). And depending on year of manufacture, you may have to open up the crankcase a little to make room for the longer connecting rod.

Stage6 BigRacing cylinder

The Big Racing cylinders are extremely powerful cylinders for 50cc supermotos. Although they are very powerful high-end cylinders, they offer a good balance of performance and reliability for intensive, regular, even daily use.

The aluminium cylinders have a displacement of 77 to 88 cc (with the corresponding crankshaft ) and were mainly developed for 50cc motorcycles with Derbi and AM6 engine, e.g. Rieju MRT, Beta RR or Sherco.

In combination with a suitable exhaust, a complete intake system and a suitable gearbox, the BigRacing can achieve maximum power with maximum torque and increased top speed.

The Stage6 R/T series delivers even more power, with uncompromising performance for use on the race track.

How to Install a cylinder on a scooter, motorcycle or moped

The cylinder or cylinder kit is the heart of the engine on scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. It consists of a cylinder, a piston with piston ring(s), a cylinder head and gaskets needed for installation.

The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

Tuning Level: High End racing

We categorize our products into different performance levels  Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.

High End Racing products are exclusively designed for racing and should only be handled by tuning pros with the appropriate technical know-how. High-end racing parts often require modifications or machining of certain elements to accommodate the often larger components (larger crank webs, larger intake, etc.). Whether you stick with 50cc or increase the displacement, high-end racing parts offer much higher performance than the original parts and are the most powerful tuning parts.

Note: To ensure the reliability of the engine, it is important that the parts are compatible and that you do regular maintenance on your two-wheeler.

    Aluminium cylinders

    Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.

    How to run in an aluminium cylinder?

    Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.

    Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.

    le cylindre a deux ans monter prepa carter cylindre stock m'est avec des manque de nikazile au file des année avec une utilisation all day pour avoir tester top alu et le stg6 (monter sans la calle sur un vilo course 44 ) le stg6 est plus puissant est plus résistant sur le long terme ( bien sur bien monter est bien entretenu ) tout sa avec une utilisation principalement en fond de 6 bien sûr.

    -je l'ai monter sur ma mrt avec toute la config qui suit bac vforce, mvt dd, carb 28 et ech 80-90. Bref je suis passer d'une moto d'origine qui galérais dès qu'il y avait une petite pente a un monstre de puissance, je fume toute les 125 4 temps même en pointe et une nervosité mais ohlala ça demande qu'a lever. très fiable pour tout les jours jamais eu de galère de démarrage, pensez bien à monter un double radia très important surtout en été. Monté aussi en boite à air de 85 ça fait vraiment un superbe bruit. Ps pour les réglage il a besoin de beaucoup d'avance 1.2 avant le pmh au lieux de 0.35 préconisé par mvt sur mon dd, j'avait peur d'en mettre autant mais sa a pas bougé.

    A l'air de marcher mais dans les choux la cale est pas alligner au cylindre les jupes touche les bords du carter le squish constructeur arrive a 1,2 le jeu cylindre piston est limite le jeu a la coupe trop faible le piston arrive bien en dessous des transferts apres c'est un 86 passé en 88 mais ya beaucoup de boulot de fraisage et de rectifs a faire sinon sa comprime sa a l'air d'avoir du couple est de la puissance apres je suis en rodage donc on verra plus tard pour confirmation

    Rien à redire sur ce pack moteur.
    - très bien fini de part ces diagrammes pour tout type de configuration aussi bien en allday qu'en préparation.
    - Après avoir rectifier les diagrammes et préparé le bas moteur (résine d'alumium ou epoxy) c'est un monstre avec la configuration adéquate qui s'additionnent derrière.
    - est-il plus perfomant que son concurrent direct le top alu?
    Et bien c'est simple prenez un 70cc top noir et un 75cc top pink (rose) a configuration égale.

    100% fiable n'hésitez surtout pas à le prendre :).

    kit étudié pour conduire tous les jour avec de très bonne finition avec des perf plus que honorable en stock bonne base de prepa se qui est dommage ses que niveau choie vilebrequin est quasi nuls Mxs ;) nous on gentiment prepa un vibrequin adapter qui est dans un des pack moteur avec le cylindre 88stage 6 au prix de 400 euro.
    Ses point fort ? mdr le 49cm3 marquer sur le coter a lors la bien jouez a stage 6 il on pensez a tout car dsl a ceux qui font du run ou piste mais le chiffre d'affaire sur tous se qui a sur 50cc est fait grâce au gens qui roulent tous les jour et stage 6 visent clairement ses client la cylindre - chère que top alu 86, piston - chère aussi, donc gros concurrent direct au top alu les gens qui ne sont pas des mouton du top alu prendront se kit ses certain je ne pence pas que les perf du top alu sont mieux loin de la Dam a fait une vidéo la dessus (Comparatif Top-Performances Alu 86cc VS Stage6 BigRacing 88cc by Dam) mercie a stage 6 pour se kit et a Mxs pour leur vilebrequin ;)

    great performance, but bad luck with it.
    consistently getting 27 whp with a hpi ignition, 32mm stage6 carb and custom made exhaust with incredible torque. sadly my something in my engine has broken which ruined 2 of these wonderfull cillinders.
    the only negative is the metal headgasket which, i had to reorder once duo to leakage.

    le kit a l'air monstrueux , mais le vilebrequin n'existe pas sur am6 , cela fait 2 mois que ma moto est chez le garagiste pour monter se kit , il a recu le cylindre mais il attend toujours le vilebrequin et quand on appel stage6 pour leurs demander ou sa en es ils disent qu'il n'y a pas de delai ..creer un cylindre en course longue sur am6 c'est bien , sans le vilebrequin adequat , c'est nul
