MVT S-Race Exhaust 85 - 100cc Derbi
Sport exhaust MVT S-Race Black Edition, low-mount exhaust for Derbi Euro 2 / 3 / 4 with 85 - 100cc cylinder. MVT goes black: the MVT S-Race is now also available with a black silencer. The S-Race is perfectly matched to the MVT Iron Max 90cc cylinder, but can also be used with other 85cc - 90cc kits and less powerful 100cc sport / midrace cylinders.
Design and performance MVT S-Race
The exhaust body is classically welded from thin 12/10 mm sheet metal segments and coated with protective clear finish. The aluminum silencer is mounted to the exhaust with three bolts.
The S-Race offers a very balanced torque curve. It is tuned for a lower RPM range, focusing more on torque rather than peak power. This allows good acceleration even at low RPM without needing to fully rev out the engine. Combined with a suitable high-performance 90cc cylinder, this results in a convincing all-round setup with strong power and very good acceleration.
The system is a low mount exhaust, and the mounting plate can be positioned variably, making it suitable for a wide range of models with Derbi engine.

The exhaust has a major influence on the performance of scooters and mopeds. By replacing the original with a tuning exhaust, you can improve the gas flow and increase the engine power.

- The headpipe or header is the connection between cylinder and exhaust, and an exhaust gasket provides the necessary seal. In street-legal systems, the headpipe is equipped with a legally required restriction. Some people remove this restrictor to increase power.
- The actual exhaust body or expansion chamber is connected to the header pipe. In a classic 2-stroke expansion chamber type exhaust, gas pressure waves are used to improve engine performance.
- At the end there us the silencer or muffler that discharges the exhaust gases and, with the help of damping wool, also reduces the noise generated by the vehicle.
Replacing the exhaust
As a general rule, please check if the exhausts fits BEFORE REMOVING THE RESTRICTOR, otherwise the exhaust cannot be returned.
For 2-stroke engines, various settings and components usually need to be adjusted when the original exhaust is replaced with a tuning version. These changes include:
- Adjusting the carburetor by replacing the main jet.
- Upgrading the clutch or replacing the clutch springs.
- For scooters, it may be necessary to reduce the weight of the variator weights.
Tuning Level: Sport
