Stage6 R/T 70 - 80cc Low-Mount Exhaust for Minarelli AM6, a high-end exhaust from the 2-stroke tuning specialist Stage6 R/T, designed for tuned Minarelli AM6 engines with 70cc to 80cc displacement.
Stage6 R/T 70 - 80cc Exhaust - Design and Performance
It is a classic racing exhaust made of carefully hand-welded thin 0,8mm steel sheet cones. As is normal for high-end systems, the exhaust has a so-called racing finish, which means the body is unpainted and untreated. We recommend to apply grease spray regularly to avoid premature rusting.
Stage6 R/T developed this exhaust specifically for the Stage6 R/T 70 AM6 cylinder to unlock the full potential of 70cc to 80cc setups. Dyno testing has confirmed strong performance throughout the entire RPM range, with peak power delivered at high to very high RPM. Ideal for engines designed to rev high and achieve maximum top speed.
This exhaust is an ideal match for 70cc to 80cc racing and high-end cylinders such as the Stage6 BigRacing 77cc, Malossi MHR Team, and Metrakit Pro Race.
Stage6 R/T Exhaust - Features and Accessories
The exhaust is supplied with a flange for the R/T70 cylinder. An additional flange for all other cylinders with a 28 mm exhaust connection is also included. To allow installation on cylinders with a 32 mm exhaust flange, a Stage6 28 - 32 mm exhaust reducer sleeve is included as well.
A 17 mm stinger insert is also supplied and can play an important role in race engine performance. The stinger restricts the outlet at the end of the expansion chamber, creating a Venturi effect that increases exhaust back pressure. This feature is a key element in performance optimization.

The Stage6 R/T 70 silencer is a perfect visual and technical match for the exhaust. Brushed aluminum body, CNC-machined anodized end caps, and precise “S6 R/T” laser engraving provide premium workmanship and a professional racing look. Thanks to its optimized internal design, it also offers a noticeable performance gain compared to the previous version of the Stage6 R/T silencer.
For a clean installation, the matching Stage6 exhaust clamp is recommended.

The exhaust has a major influence on the performance of scooters and mopeds. By replacing the original with a tuning exhaust, you can improve the gas flow and increase the engine power.

- The headpipe or header is the connection between cylinder and exhaust, and an exhaust gasket provides the necessary seal. In street-legal systems, the headpipe is equipped with a legally required restriction. Some people remove this restrictor to increase power.
- The actual exhaust body or expansion chamber is connected to the header pipe. In a classic 2-stroke expansion chamber type exhaust, gas pressure waves are used to improve engine performance.
- At the end there us the silencer or muffler that discharges the exhaust gases and, with the help of damping wool, also reduces the noise generated by the vehicle.
Replacing the exhaust
As a general rule, please check if the exhausts fits BEFORE REMOVING THE RESTRICTOR, otherwise the exhaust cannot be returned.
For 2-stroke engines, various settings and components usually need to be adjusted when the original exhaust is replaced with a tuning version. These changes include:
- Adjusting the carburetor by replacing the main jet.
- Upgrading the clutch or replacing the clutch springs.
- For scooters, it may be necessary to reduce the weight of the variator weights.
Tuning Level: High End racing

High End Racing products are exclusively designed for racing and should only be handled by tuning pros with the appropriate technical know-how. High-end racing parts often require modifications or machining of certain elements to accommodate the often larger components (larger crank webs, larger intake, etc.). Whether you stick with 50cc or increase the displacement, high-end racing parts offer much higher performance than the original parts and are the most powerful tuning parts.
